Dollar hoard hits
market
Marketing of a hoard of 100,000 silver dollars that formerly belonged to
Las Vegas Horseshoe Casino owner Ted Binion has begun by Goldline
International, Inc., of Santa Monica, Calif.
The firm, which is one of the A-Mark Companies,
bought the hoard for $3 million and has had the silver dollars slabbed
by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation of Sarasota, Fla. A special
green NGC pedigree label has been created for them.
Among the coins offered for sale are 1883-O
pieces priced at $42 in MS-63, $50 in MS-64, $110 in MS-65 and $300 in
MS-66. 1885-P coins are priced at $43 in MS-63, $52 in MS-64, $110
in MS-65 and $300 in MS-66.

In the MS-67 grade, an 1887-P is offered for $2,500, an 1886-P at $1,250
and an 1885-P at $2,150.
Other dates in the approximately 15 that will
be available include 1878-P, 1885-O and 1888-P in the Morgan series and
1922-P and 1923-P Peace dollars.
Mark Salzberg, NGC president, said, "This
is the greatest collection of silver dollars that NGC has ever
authenticated."
